Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera has a long history in Japan, first touring in 1992 and returning for major productions, including a January 2024 run at Tokyo's Tokyu Theatre Orb starring Ben Forster. This version, often performed in English with Japanese subtitles, is known for its opera-style music and has been staged in Tokyo, 2013, 2018, and 2024.

For this project our team were tasked with designing a new prosthetic and mask that could be laid over it for Ben Forster for his tour as the phantom in Tokyo, Japan. This involved lifecasting Ben and creating a bespoke prosthetic for him. The prosthetic sculpture was then 3d scanned so that a mask could be digitally sculpted over it.
